20/7/2015 0 Comments SNAPSNAP (Special Needs And Parents) is a registered charity that helps Essex families with children and young people who have any special need and disability. They approached Billericay Round Table and we were happy to be able to help by donating £4,190 to help buy four new iPad Air devices for children and young people to use plus an additional two devices for SNAP staff to offer support, advice and information to parents and carers attending their specialist centre in Essex. The new iPads will allow twice as many children to use the IT suite. The different applications and software that the group also funded to use on the iPads and computers will help to enhance the development of sensory, communication, motor and social play skills. Part of the donation will also go towards the creation of a new sector on the website aimed at giving families access to the content contained in the charities specialist library without the need to physically visit the centre. This will help parents’ access information allowing them to make confident choices on issues they are experiencing, leading to improved parenting skills. Billericay Round Table visited the centre to see the impact of the donation for themselves.
